In a stunning cultural cross over nobody could anticipate, King Charles and Queen Camilla were received by the renowned Bollywood song 'Dhoom Machale' when they took their seats in Westminster Abbey to attend the biennial Commonwealth Day service. Performed by Hindu Scottish pipe band Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band, this created a bit of a situation that left people who love Bollywood quite tickled.

A viral sensation

The unexpected musical selection went unnoticed until the band posted the video on their official social media account. The video soon went viral, attracting a deluge of comments from desi fans who were shocked to listen to the popular songs from the 2004 movie 'Dhoom' infamously linked with Bollywood megastar Hrithik Roshan.

Social media erupts in jokes and speculation

Soon after, social media was abuzz with jokes and tongue-in-cheek speculation. A user commented, "Plot twist: The King is Hrithik Roshan in disguise." Another joked, "That's clearly Hrithik Roshan dressed up as Camilla." Taking cue from a well-known scene from Dhoom 2, where Roshan's master-of-disguise character disguises himself as Queen Elizabeth II, a fan commented, "I thought Camilla would remove the mask to show Hrithik Roshan."
Others jokingly speculated about another sequel in the hit Dhoom franchise. "Leaked video of Dhoom 4," posted one user, as another commented, "Hrithik comes for the Kohinoor."

Dhoom franchise sparks excitement

The hype for Dhoom was again sparked recently with news of Dhoom 4 on the anvil. It has been reported that actor Ranbir Kapoor will be heading the next edition of the action franchise. While Kapoor is otherwise occupied shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War in Mumbai, he will reportedly start shooting for Dhoom 4 in April next year. But a formal announcement on the same is still pending.
